Matt McKelvey Bio
Matt McKelvey is the President of the McKelvey Group, a strategic consulting firm which provides financial and operational expertise to small and mid-sized businesses. Matt has more than 25 years of experience in the Federal Contracting marketplace. He has a Bachelors degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University, a Masters degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Maryland, and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers.
Matt consults with Government Contractors of all sizes and in all agencies. Some of the services his firm provides include:
- Configuring existing accounting systems and transitioning to new accounting systems
- Developing standard accounting policies and procedures
- Creating standard management and financial reporting
- Preparing cost/price proposals
- Supporting DCAA audits
- Preparing contract/subcontract/teaming agreements
- Developing compensation plans
- Appraising the business value of the client company or acquisition targets
Matt supported clients in both Civilian and Defense Agencies. His clients have varied in size from companies with less than $1M to greater than $1B in annual revenues. Matt teaches the Advanced Cost Price Proposal Strategies Seminar, the Intermediate Cost Proposal Workshop, and the Basic Cost Proposal Workshop.
