WOSB Get Your Certification in Place

The Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program ramped up at light speed from Proposed Rule to publication of the Final Rule on October 7, 2010 -- about 7 months -- in contrast to the years it normally takes to pass and implement legislation. Implementation of the Final Rule is equally on the fast track, with an effective date of February 4, 2011. In other words, Contracting Officers may begin WOSB set-asides/awards beginning February 4, 2011. Fedmarket predicts contract awards to WOSBs will be issued very quickly and even more swiftly than those made to other types of small businesses. Be one of the first WOSBs to be certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and take advantage of the current political pressure to contract with WOSBs.

Get the details and learn how you can be one of the first women-owned businesses to benefit.  Join us in Bethesda, MD for a half-day seminar or attend via a live online Netcast.

Billions will be contracted through the new WOSB program beginning in 2011. WOSBs need to understand that government agencies need you. Federal agencies are under the gun to ensure that small businesses including WOSBs, 8(a) companies, HUBZones, veteran/service disabled veteran owned small businesses, and others, at the subcontract level - get their share of the contracting dollars spent. We will explore the specifics of the WOSB Rule, the implications, and based on our foundation in federal government contracting, take participants to the next level on how to make the WOSB program work for you.

WOSB eCertify Workshop -  November 30, 2010

Fedmarket has created the WOSB eCertify Workshop to allow your organization to complete the paperwork required for WOSB certification quickly and simply.

How the WOSB eCertify Workshop Works

Our proven method is built around three pillars: come prepared, get hands-on with you application, and work alongside WOSB subject matter experts to complete the application for WOSB certification. The result is a completed WOSB self-certification package.

Come Prepared

When you sign up to participate in the WOSB eCertify Workshop, our subject matter experts confirm with you that you meet certain minimum eligibility criteria. You are also emailed a Request for Information (RFI) document. This details very specifically the information you need to collect and bring with you to the workshop, which government systems you need to be signed up for, and which tax forms and supporting documents will need to be filed with the application. Each RFI is tailored for each type of corporate entity: corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and sole proprietorship so no matter your corporate profile, the RFI will have you covered.
