Audit Fear is Gripping GSA

Life for GSA schedule offerors and contract holders is becoming more difficult. Audit fear appears to be gripping the agency and this is reflected in:

  1. Long evaluation times and more proposal rejections
  2. Calls for unheard of levels of details in requests for proposal refinements
  3. Demands for information not specified in the GSA schedule solicitation
  4. Use of comparisons of prices across schedules in offer evaluation
  5. Emphasis on negotiating less than most favorable customer pricing
  6. Negotiation of stricter terms and conditions than those specified in the solicitation

Why is this occurring; probably because of the increased use of GSA schedules and the Obama Administration's emphasis of procurement integrity.

What should an offeror or contact holder do; comply with a smile
