You may have noticed several developments at the General Service Administration (GSA).

1. Offer and modification evaluation times are increasing.
2. Solicitation refresh frequency is increasing.
3. Electronic offers and modification requests are gradually becoming mandatory as new solicitation requests are published.
4. Initial offers, evergreen proposals, and contract compliance are being scrutinized more closely.

We suggest that companies holding GSA schedules should consider the following as a result of what is happening at GSA.

1. Contact your GSA contracting officer to determine if GSA will be requesting an evergreen proposal to exercise their option to extend your contract for five more years. Then get your evergreen proposal in early.
2. Determine if contract modifications to add or delete products, services, or special item numbers or increase or decrease prices are needed and then get your modification requests in early.
